join the Mystic River Watershed Steering Committee on Wednesday,
September 25th at 9:30AM to hear presentations on the prospective
environmental impacts of both proposed Mystic River casinos – Wynn
Resorts in Everett and Suffolk Downs in East Boston. The public is
encouraged to attend this important free meeting and take advantage of
the opportunity to ask questions of each casino proponent. The
meeting is hosted by the Mystic River Watershed Association; meeting
room and light refreshments provided by Preotle, Lane & Associates.
“This meeting is a unique opportunity for watershed residents to hear about and ask questions of representatives from both Wynn Resorts and Suffolk Downs. A casino in the Mystic River Watershed has the potential to create significant impact on the waterfront and environmental restoration efforts,” said EkOngKar Singh Khalsa, Executive Director of the Mystic River Watershed Association.
The US EPA convened Mystic River Watershed Steering Committee includes 22 organizations from various sectors that address the issues and needs of the communities and natural resources of the Mystic River Watershed.
