Sullivan Square Deposition Study

The purpose of the Sullivan Square Disposition Study is to build upon the Boston Transportation Department's roadway plan for Sullivan Square. As part of the study, there will be a community-based visioning exercise to determine appropriate uses, and the character of new development and open space in Sullivan Square. The ultimate goal of the Sullivan Square Disposition Study is to enhance the area through the creation of a disposition plan for publicly-owned development parcels that will be created by the new roadway alignment in Sullivan Square. The study will focus on parcel level planning, design guidelines, and a market analysis to achieve a success disposition of the new parcels, that is consistent with community goals and vision for the future of Sullivan Square. All interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting. Webpage: http://tinyurl.com/SullivanDisposition

Thanks

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who exercised their right to vote this past Tuesday in the special primary election for our state senator.  As I roamed from polling place to polling place I can honestly say it was a pleasure seeing everyone, meeting those I hadn't had the opportunity to meet yet and really great putting a face to the voice or email in some cases.  I appreciated you sharing your concerns and ideas and I am and always will be honored and proud to serve you as Alderman.

I would also like to thank all those who participated in the City's Annual Spring Clean-up last weekend.  As always Ward 1 had a huge showing (top in the City) and if you haven't already - take a moment to check out the photos taken that day on my Facebook page...........you just might be there!  Thanks again everyone!

And one last "thank you" to the Somerville Youth Softball Organization!  I had the pleasure of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch & the "ceremonial first pitch do-over" last weekend.  What a great group of men & woman dedicated to helping, coaching and mentoring sportsmanship in our City's youth.  There are some pictures of that event of my Facebook page as well.
