Cross Street Bridge Construction

Weather permitting on Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th, MassDOT will be conducting construction on the Cross Street Bridge. The work will be conducted between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (there is no overnight work scheduled) as crews continue to remove and replace the existing floor beams on the Cross Street Bridge

Throughout this period, Police Officers will be stationed in the area to assist with traffic flow and road closures. Please obey all detours and flashing message boards.

MassDOT and the contractor have coordinated this effort with the MBTA and the City of Somerville in order to minimize the extent and duration of certain night time work operations that have the potential to create significant inconvenience and impacts to the neighboring public. If you have additional questions, please call 311.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this important community improvement program Please let me know if there are additional questions or concerns.
