It was great to see Ward 1's own Mike Cassesso get married by Stephen Colbert from the Emmy award winning show Colbert Report last night. Mike and his bride were scheduled to get married at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC (the place where their first date was) this weekend but due to the Government shutdown things weren't working out as planned. You can see both videos (part 1 & 2) by clicking here. Congratulations to Mike & MaiLien Le as well as Mike's parents - also Ward 1 residents Mike & Dottie Cassesso. It was only a few short weeks ago that adorable ring bearer was holding one of my signs at a stand out.
